Background and Challenge

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) plays a critical role in maintaining the country's financial stability, managing monetary policy, and ensuring the supply of banknotes and coins. Traditionally, the Reserve Bank had conducted graduate recruitment campaigns, but in 2020, they sought to elevate their approach. Their goals included:

  • Attracting a more diverse range of candidates.
  • Creating a fresh, standout campaign that highlighted their unique value proposition.
  • Designing a flexible framework that could cater to graduates, interns, and scholarship programmes.

Our Approach

To address these objectives, we developed the concept: "Work that matters from day one."

    The concept was inspired by feedback from current graduates at RBNZ, emphasizing the meaningful and impactful work they experienced from the start of their careers.
  2. Professional Photography and Testimonials:
    We conducted a photography session with current graduates, capturing authentic, relatable images. These visuals were paired with quotes from graduates and interns, offering prospective candidates a genuine glimpse into life at the Reserve Bank.
  3. Comprehensive Campaign Assets:
    We designed and delivered a full suite of materials, including:
    • Banner artwork for digital advertising.
    • Collateral design and printing for events and outreach.
    • A cohesive media plan to ensure maximum reach and impact.

Impact
